Mia makes hand-made Viking clothes suitable for reenactment. She also offers custom embroidery.
She mainly works with wool and linen and uses cotton thread to stitch the clothes with, as it will dye with the fabric, should you want to re-dye the item later on. Everything we make is hand made in the UK, from bone/antler work, to reenactment clothes and knives. Did you know the original "Pathfinder" movie was a Sami movie? Released in 1987, Pathfinder is the first Sami full-length film to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. It is set around the year 1000 AD in Northern Scandinavia. More details on the Pathfinder Wikipedia page. We were at the Battle of Hastings 2006! In October 2006, The Vikings organised a spectacular reeenactment of the Battle of Hastings, 1066.
